Teaching Assistant (Level 3)
Temporary, part-time, Chorley
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join our team on a part-time, temporary basis in Chorley. This role will involve supporting the delivery of high-quality education, assisting teachers, and helping students achieve their full potential in a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide individual or small group support to students, ensuring they are engaged and making progress.
* Assist the class teacher with the planning and delivery of lessons, adapting activities to meet student needs.
* Offer tailored support for students with additional learning needs (SEN), helping them to overcome barriers to learning.
* Help with classroom management, ensuring a positive and focused learning environment.
* Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents when required.
* Support the emotional, social, and academic development of students, fostering a positive relationship with them.
Essential Criteria:
* Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
* Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary or secondary school setting.
* Strong understanding of the curriculum and how to adapt lessons for different learning styles.
* Ability to work effectively with students with additional learning needs (SEN).
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* A positive, flexible approach to supporting children’s learning and development.
Desirable:
* Experience of working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
* Additional qualifications or training in areas such as behaviour management or speech and language support.
