Job Title: Electrical Account Manager – M&E Services

Area to be covered: Ideally based North West
Remuneration: £50,000-£55,000 + £10,000-£20,000 Commission
Benefits: Hybrid Company Car or £6,000 Car Allowance + Full Benefits
The role of the Electrical Account Manager – M&E Services will involve:
1. Field sales role, selling mission critical M&E services including the design and build of data centres, UPS replacement, cooling for comms rooms, flooring, lighting, power (generators), switchgear, replacing plant rooms and other electrical services.
2. Utilising a framework within all UK universities where our client is the number one provider of mission critical M&E services.
3. Targeting hospitals/ NHS and local government projects.
4. Calling on IT Engineers up to C-Level decision makers including Data Centre Managers and IT Infrastructure Managers.
5. Initially new business focused but with retained account management, this will be a 50/50 new business account management role over time.
6. Responsible for a £3m-£4m revenue target once established in the role.
7. Typically 4 days a week on the road covering a remit, so overnight stays will be required.
8. One day admin/ ideally working from our clients’ North West based offices.
9. Ideally 10-12 meetings per week.
10. Typical order values from £10,000-£250,000 but can be up to £800,000 (focus of this role will be on smaller works).
11. Plenty of warm introductions and an extensive database to target, hence penetrating wider and deeper into accounts will be key.
The ideal applicant will have:
1. Experience as an Electrical Account Manager – M&E Services.
2. Must have sold M&E services or a combination of M&E products and services.
3. Prior experience of having sold into Universities, hospitals/ NHS or local government/ local authorities would be advantageous.
4. Data centre customer experience would be nice to have but is not essential.
5. An approachable personality.
6. Not afraid to pick up the phone.
7. Willingness to work away as required.
8. Ability to deal with a wide variety of customers.
9. A stable career history.
