MS523 - Technical Advisor
Location: Cardiff
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum basic
Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Technical Advisor on behalf of one of our clients. The successful candidate will provide technical support and assistance to the Sales department and customers. Other aspects include assisting in preparation and filing of standard technical documents and CAD drawings; assisting in product testing programs; and assisting in continuous improvement of technical service and customer experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Support the sale of products through the dissemination of technical information.
2. Provide robust technical advice and solutions to design-related problems relative to the product range.
3. Conduct in-depth calculation and qualification of the suitability of products for use.
4. Correctly specify products by application.
5. Technical approval of drawing submittals.
6. Develop ideas for service/product improvement based on customer feedback.
7. Create technical documents and drawings for internal and customer use.
8. Enhance the existing library of NBS specifications, CAD, and Revit drawings.
9. Engage in continuous improvement activities for Technical Support.
10. Address issues arising related to site practice.
11. Follow all company procedures and policies in line with our compliance management system and report any concerns of non-compliance immediately.
12. Take reasonable care of yourself and others who may be affected by your actions or omissions, and ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures at all times.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Computer literacy including Autodesk software.
2. Experience working with Revit, Inventor & Fusion 360 is preferred.
3. Good understanding of mathematical/structural principles.
4. Ability to read and understand drawings.
5. Good communication skills.
6. Previous experience in communicating technical information to a customer base will be considered, as well as formal certification.
7. Degree, HNC, or HND in Design, Architectural Technology, an Engineering discipline, or construction allied curriculum (desirable).
