Position Overview Ithaca Energy is accepting applications for the position of Offshore HES Advisor, located on our Offshore installations. This position will be on a 12month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Lead HES Advisor, the Offshore HES Advisor will provide first line Health, Environment & Safety support to the offshore operating asset. Supporting the HSE function in providing support, challenge, and facilitation delivery on HSE topics and business partners leaders delivering accountabilities. Responsibilities Provides competent advice & guidance in relation to safety, health and environmental legislation to the asset & wider business, Positively influences the Offshore Leadership Team& workforce to develop & sustain a progressive safety culture which encompasses personal & process safety while upholding our company behaviours & values. Supports implementation of company HSE Management Systems at site. Supports team to deliver HSE elements of company score card & must wins. Supports & facilitates regulatory compliance deliverables, supports implementation & execution of risk based assurance deliverables. Facilitates & supports robust incident investigation process ensuring delivery of quality investigations factoring in root cause analysis & human performance indicators. Supports occupational health deliverables, working in collaboration with the offshore medic & industrial hygienist. Supports environmental compliance with consents and permits Offshore focal point for Safety Case updates and link to the thorough review process. Engage with onshore Technical Safety department and Safety Reps to ensure that changes are managed effectively. Supports implementation of process safety improvement plan at site level ensuring engagement with the offshore workforce. Support Si971 safety representatives in their duties & ensure thorough effective communication & engagement. Facilitate offshore preparation for Regulatory inspections & participate in these activities. Monitor incident, audit & regulatory commitment actions (for offshore Team) driving timely completion. Support a robust ER process through development and facilitation of major emergency exercises & site training whilst identify improvement opportunities. Conduct site visits to assess safe work controls are robust & effectively implemented, ensuring compliance with procedures & permits whilst supporting improvement opportunities identified. Support the review and offshore roll out of HSE critical documents and procedures. Support the OIM to prepare and hold regular safety meetings. Qualifications & Experience Demonstrable experience as an Offshore HSE Advisor within the Oil & Gas Industry. Professional occupational health and safety qualification (minimum NEBOSH Certificate) Preferably an Active membership of a recognised professional body for H&S – (IOSH). Preferably trained auditor to lead and perform management system audits. Competent in incident investigation & root cause analysis methodologies. Excellent knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation. Keen interest in human performance principles Knowledge and experience of risk assessment techniques and their practical implementation. Self-motivated and capable of organising and prioritising daily work schedule. Experience with executing/supporting HSE / Operations programmes & initiatives. Effective/competent MS Office Suite User & high level of communication skills Offshore MIST, BOSIET, FOET are required.
