One of our partnership SEN Schools in South Manchester are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to take on full time roles supporting children with special educational needs including:
- Autism
- Profound and multiple learning difficulties
- Sensory impairments including hearing and visual impairments
- Physical disabilities
- Down Syndrome
In this role as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support the class teacher in the delivery of creative and engaging lessons and sensory activities
- Support children on a 1:1 and small group basis.
- Engage with children and help them to reach their full potential.
- Support in the assessment of children's learning and development to update EHCP plans
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will have:
- Lots of patience and a calm personality
- Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs in a school/care setting or through personal experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Full time availability within school hours (8:30-3:30/4:00pm)
- Child and Adult DBS checks (This can be applied for through Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
