This role is aligned to support the OSD (Oral & Solid Dose) department and reports into the Scheduling Manager at the GSK Ware manufacturing site. The purpose of the role is to create and execute a (up-to) 13-week rolling production schedule to fulfil the order book whilst optimising manufacturing flow and inventory. Working in a GMP environment, you will keep records (both paper and electronic) up to date and in line with data integrity.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
* Create an optimised schedule in the business ERP system to fulfil the customer order book.
* Facilitate the scheduling meeting to lock the schedule for the first week, ensuring line-side schedule availability in a timely manner.
* Apply the defined scheduling methodology (eg; Make to Order, Make to Stock, Fixed Repeating Schedule, etc).
* Review and action exception messages and escalate issues affecting supply plans.
* Generate, trend and drive Conformance to Schedule (CtP) and Plan Stability via defined Tiered Accountability Process (TAP) and escalate issues as required to site and customer interfaces.
* Provide a clear understanding of any issues effecting delivery of the order book and associated actions to the aligned value stream team through the Order Fulfilment Meeting.
* Monitor and manage inventory in line with shelf life and inventory target requirements.
* Ensure timely right first-time availability of Process Orders including batch and allocation of materials.
* Support product life cycle management including the set-up of manufactured materials.
Fixed Term Contract (FTC) – Please note that this Fixed Term Contract (FTC) is due to run for 18-months.
About You:
This role would suit a self-motivated person who has experience of working in a cross-functional, global supply organisation. You will be resilient and calm under pressure. You will have excellent attention to detail, strong people skills and a proven ability to influence people to achieve and drive performance. You will have a strong continuous improvement mindset and strong demonstrable organisational skills. Experience and competence in the use of SAP / ERP would be preferred.
About Ware Manufacturing Site:
We are co-located with our R&D colleagues and recently opened a new, state-of-the-art oral solid dose facility at Ware. At this location our scientists, technicians and engineers (from R&D and Global Supply Chain – GSC) work collaboratively together (using the latest technologies) to rapidly knowledge transfer and deliver GSK’s most innovative, medicines faster and more efficiently. On site we produce over 60 million respiratory inhalers each year with growing demand in future years. The site also processes Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) for use both on site and other manufacturing sites in our network.

Basic Qualifications:
* Relevant experience / qualifications (eg; supply-chain, scheduling)
* Analytical Proficiency.
* Operational knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes associated with a dosage form.
* Experience working in a cGMP aligned pharmaceutical environment.
* Qualification in Supply Chain, MRP (ideally).
