We are looking for a Supervising Social Worker to work in our South, Southeast service based on the Isle of Wight. The role offers a hybrid way of working, with some work completed from home, and at the Hub in Newport, as well as attending face-to-face meetings with the foster carers across the island. There will be a requirement to occasionally attend the Registered Office in Salisbury for Team Meetings and our Fostering Panel. This is a great opportunity for someone who has the drive and ambition to provide high-quality foster placements for children in the area where we know that there is a shortfall of foster families for children who need care. Five Rivers works from a Trauma-informed (ATIC) model, integrating our fostering, residential, clinical, and education services to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people. Teams are supported by a psychologist and a therapeutic practitioner, who are also foster support workers and business support coordinators. This, alongside manageable workloads, means social workers have the time and resources they need to provide high-quality support to their foster families. To find out more about our fostering service https://five-rivers.org/fostering/ You will directly support our foster carers with realistic caseloads, which enables a higher level of supervision, Monitoring, and intervention.
