Trading Standards Manager Organisation: Rotherham Council Job Type: Temporary Pay Rate: £493 per day (Inside IR35) Rotherham Council are seeking a Trading Standards Manager to lead the Trading Standards, Animal Health and Feed team. This role involves the effective management and enforcement of a wide range of legislation related to Trading Standards, Animal Health, and Feed. The successful candidate will act as Chief Inspector of Weights and Measures and Lead Feed Officer, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and delivering professional regulatory advice and guidance. Day-to-day of the role: Manage the Trading Standards, Animal Health and Feed team to ensure professional regulatory advice, guidance, and enforcement. Act as Chief Inspector of Weights and Measures and Lead Feed Officer, fulfilling the Council’s statutory obligations. Conduct complex investigations, including the investigation of offences, inspections, and advisory visits. Engage in promotional activities, issue legal notices, prepare prosecution files, and take legal action where necessary. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in a managerial role within Trading Standards, Animal Health, or a related field. Strong understanding of the legislation related to Trading Standards, Animal Health, and Feed. Experience in conducting complex investigations and legal proceedings. Ability to provide leadership and direction in a regulatory environment.
