Pay rate: £750-£850 per day Umbrella / £558.22-£632.65 per day PAYE
Location: Bristol, hybrid role - 1 day on site per week
Hours of work: 37 hours per week
Applicants must posses the following:
- Experience as a Technical Author
- Valid SC clearance
- Ability to assess current legislation and defence regulations
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
- Experience in the assessment of regulations and authorship of safety cases
- Strong stakeholder management skills
Ideally applicants should also have:
- A background in STEM
Role information:
- Review current UK legislation related to directed energy weapons (DEW)
- Identify gaps in current legislation
- Identify the relevance of current regulation to DEW systems
- Identify potential exemptions of DEWs from specific defence regulations
- Ensure relevant defence regulations are adhered to
- Develop new regulations and policies to address gaps between regulation and legislations of DEWs
