Ipswich Borough Council’s Park Patrol Team are responsible for ensuring the safety of visitors and upkeep of all parks & open spaces around Ipswich seven days a week.
Our work is not only limited to parks, it also extends to allotments, cemeteries, play areas and recreation grounds. Whether it be deterring antisocial behaviour, locking and unlocking parks, litter picking, dealing with public enquires, working alongside other departments or carrying out play area inspections; no two days working on Park Patrol are the same.
As we are moving into the longer evenings our parks are open longer to ensure everyone has access to outside space. We are looking for someone who can work alternate evenings and weekends with some availability during weekdays.
If you are someone who likes working outside, has experience in managing a team we would welcome your application.
You will be quick thinking and able to use your own initiative. Long distances on foot patrol is required. A full driving licence is essential.
