U-Educate is seeking a passionate and dedicated Sports Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic school in Gosport, starting as soon as possible. This full-time role offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment, where you will play a key role in delivering and supervising Physical Education (PE) lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students in the absence of their regular class teacher.
As a Sports Cover Supervisor, you will not only support PE lessons but also help maintain a positive learning environment for students, ensuring they remain engaged and motivated. In addition to covering PE, you may be asked to support other subjects, which will allow you to gain a broad range of experience and work alongside a dedicated team of staff.

Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering PE Lessons: Supervise and deliver PE lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students stay active, engaged, and learning effectively.
* Supporting Other Subjects: On occasion, you may be required to cover other lessons and ensure students stay on task and continue with their learning across various subjects.
* Maintaining Behaviour: Manage student behaviour, ensuring a focused, positive, and respectful classroom environment while encouraging students to follow instructions.
* Assisting Students: Provide support to students, both academically and personally, helping them stay engaged with their lessons and encouraging their participation in activities.
* Supervising Activities: Ensure the safety of students during practical PE sessions and activities, making sure all students are engaged and following the correct procedures.
* Building Positive Relationships: Develop a strong rapport with students, creating a supportive and motivating environment where they feel valued and encouraged.
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience: Previous experience working with students aged 11-16 years, particularly in delivering or supporting PE lessons, is highly desirable.
* Passion for Sport: A strong enthusiasm for physical education and sports is essential to motivate students and foster a love for activity and fitness.
* Behaviour Management Skills: You should be confident in managing student behaviour, with the ability to maintain a calm and focused atmosphere while ensuring students remain engaged.
* Relationship Building: The ability to form positive relationships with students is key to encouraging their participation and success.
* Fun but Firm Presence: A balance of authority and approachability is essential in managing a positive classroom environment.
* Interest in Education: A genuine interest in education and helping students develop academically and personally will make you an excellent fit for this role.
Eligibility Requirements:
* Right to Work in the UK: You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
* Enhanced DBS Check: You will need an enhanced child-barred list DBS certificate, registered with the online update service, or be willing to apply for a new check.
