About the role Surbana Jurong Group is seeking a Business Compliance Manager to support the implementation of our robust compliance programs across key business areas, Buildings & Cities and Infrastructure & Energy. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of ensuring that our business activities are aligned with our core values, ethics, and code of conduct. As a role model for integrity and compliance, you’ll guide/influence colleagues in our UK businesses (Robert Bird Group, SMEC and Atelier Ten) to uphold these principles, ensuring that all business practices reflect the highest standards of ethical conduct. You will also be entrusted with addressing compliance challenges faced by our teams globally, including those operating in high-risk locations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to design, implement, and refine policies and procedures within our compliance program. You will collaborate with colleagues across various advisory/supporting functions, including Human Resources, Finance, Treasury and IT. Key accountabilities Actively support the implementation of SJ Group Compliance Program and initiatives. Manage the day-to-day running of the SJ Group Compliance Program and reporting. Develop and deliver effective compliance training and communication. Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Experience Has demonstrated ability/experience in: Operating in an Engineering Consulting environment within project management and delivery processes. Designing, rolling out, implementing or testing anti-bribery, competition law and trade sanctions compliance programs of multinational or conglomerate companies in any sector or industry. Managing third party or external business partner risks and conducting integrity due diligence will be preferred. Managing bribery, competition law and trade sanctions compliance issues in high-risk countries or emerging markets will be well regarded. Conducting fact finding investigations, identifying root causes and making recommendations on remedial actions. Implementing and maintaining certified management systems.
