Job summary Procare Health Limited are a GP federation providing health care services to the local Guildford & Waverley population outside of traditional working hours. We are seeking Health Care Assistants working flexibly on a zero hours contract to support an efficient, effective, and quality Enhanced Access service in Guildford and Waverley. You will deliver delegated health care activities working independently, without direct supervision, alongside a Registered Nurse or GP, providing wound care, BP monitoring and phlebotomy in a GP Practice or Diagnostic Hub setting. We have flexible hours working weekday evenings and Saturdays. Main duties of the job The post holder will be required to perform a range of health care assistant activities in a GP practice or Diagnostic Hub and will work without direct supervision under the direction of a Registered Nurse of GP. This post holder will need to ensure that all relevant policy, protocols, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed. The post holder will need to have health care assistant skills in basic wound care, venepuncture, BP monitoring etc and have a level 2 NVQ or equivalent. You will be a good communicator, calm and have a professional manner. You will be able to work methodically and independently whilst being a good team player. The post holder will need to be able to use EMIS to record patient interactions after each appointment.
