Position: Care Home Manager
Location: Near St Leonards on Sea
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, mainly Monday to Friday
About the Role:
My client is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Care Home Manager to lead their well-established residential care home near St Leonards on Sea. The home is known for its excellent reputation for delivering high-quality care, and my client is looking for a manager who shares the same passion for providing the best possible care to their residents.
As the Care Home Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring that it operates efficiently and in compliance with all regulations. You will lead a skilled team of staff, oversee resident care plans, and maintain the home's outstanding reputation within the local community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee the operational running of the care home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are provided to residents.
2. Lead and support a dedicated team of care staff, fostering a positive, collaborative environment.
3. Ensure the care home meets regulatory standards and guidelines, including CQC requirements.
4. Manage and review resident care plans, ensuring they meet the individual needs of each resident.
5. Maintain and improve the home's CQC rating, with a focus on achieving 'Good' or 'Outstanding' reports.
6. Develop and implement strategies to enhance the quality of care, resident satisfaction, and staff training.
7. Manage the home's budget, resources, and staffing levels effectively.
8. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe environment for both residents and staff.
Ideal Candidate:
1. Must have previous experience as a Registered Manager in a care home setting.
2. Ideally possess an NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Health & Social Care.
3. Strong knowledge of CQC standards and regulations, with a proven track record of achieving 'Good' CQC ratings.
4. In-depth knowledge of dementia care, with the ability to support residents with a variety of needs.
5. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
6. A commitment to providing high-quality care and ensuring the wellbeing of all residents.
7. Ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and staff.
