Electrical Engineer, Power systems Design - ETAP
We've partnered with an innovative, independent design consultancy that's at the cutting edge of Building Services engineering and Environmental Design. With over 50 years of delivering groundbreaking projects across multiple sectors, they're on the lookout for a passionate Power Systems Engineer to join their Data Centre MEP team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking firm that's shaping the future of the built environment. You will be working on Data Centre and mission critical solutions in the UK and across Europe.
With a team of skilled engineers, they are committed to developing efficient, reliable, and environmentally responsible power systems. They are now seeking an accomplished and motivated Power Systems Engineer, proficient in ETAP, to their growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Delivering consulting work related to the various types of power systems studies and analysis, in particular control interaction studies.
2. Providing technical and project management leadership to support the project team in the successful delivery of consulting work.
3. Ensuring technical quality of delivery of power systems projects, reports and proposals.
4. Building and maintaining key client relationships to effectively position power systems services and secure future business.
5. Leading the development and delivery of project proposals and identifying areas where services/skill sets can be integrated through multi-disciplinary working.
6. Lead on excellence in power systems software packages (e.g. ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSS/E, PSCAD, IPSA, CDEGs, etc.)
Qualifications & Skills:
* A Degree in Electrical or Power System Engineering.
* Ideally Chartered (or en route to) with a recognised professional institution, with 3 years of experience in power systems engineering, and substantial expertise in ETAP software.
* Strong background in power system analysis, including load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, and transient stability analysis.
