Pension and Reward Analyst Location: London Department: People Salary Details: Not Specified Advertising End Date: 10 Jan 2025 Job Description Your team: The Pensions and Reward Teamis a team within the HR department, based in the News Building, London Bridge. We are responsible for News' pension provision, including legacy defined benefit schemes as well as the company's Group Personal Pension for current employees. We are responsible for managing pay and bonus schemes and also the wide range of employee benefits that we offer our employees across the UK and Ireland. Your role: We are looking for a Pension and Reward Analyst to join us and be responsible for continuing to shape our pension and reward provision across all of our publications and brands. The role will specifically involve supporting the pension team and also supporting on reward matters including the annual pay and bonus cycle. Day to day you will: Pension - Experience of working on Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution arrangements - Liaise with pension and benefit providers, internal stakeholders, Trustee boards, professional advisers and employees - Support with monthly pension and benefit reconciliations - Manage team inbox plus cyclical and daily tasks - Assist with governance and compliance requirements including policy maintenance Reward - Operational delivery of day to day reward activities including job evaluation and benchmark requests (using the WTW grading methodology) and salary recommendations. - Supporting the Group Head of Reward and Benefits during the annual pay and bonus season. - Provide advice and guidance to stakeholders regarding pay and bonus practices. - Ensuring all external market data sources and salary surveys are completed and up to date. - Respond to day to day reward queries from the wider HR team. - Support the benefits advisor when required. What we're looking for from you: - Strong analytical numerate mindset with advanced excel and google sheet skills. - Technical pension and reward knowledge with expertise supporting a pensions and reward team. - Have a highly collaborative approach and be able to integrate with multiple teams across the HR directorate. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders. - Team player with the ability to prioritise workload, deliver to deadlines and operate individually - Experience of Darwin / SAP / WorkDay or other HRIS systems advantageous - Be able to embrace our values: Purposeful - Passionate - Principled We are News UK: One of the leading media businesses in the UK and Ireland.
