Job summary Maternity Support Worker (MSW) - Band 3 An exciting opportunity has arisen for Maternity Support Worker posts, with the potential to be allocated within a community setting supporting the midwifery teams and Better Births Continuity of Carer Models. You will be experienced, enthusiastic and caring and must be able to work autonomously, demonstrating excellent clinical skills to provide women centred care. Main duties of the job The successful candidates will be working within the midwifery team supporting midwives to ensure all women receive optimum care, implementation of care and a range of designated patient duties to include the recording of patient details/records. The community midwifery teams at WUTH provides care to approximately 3100 women and their families in the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal period. About the Role The successful applicant/s will work in rotation within the maternity unit to include Ward 53 (antenatal and postnatal). It will be in a shift pattern to include weekdays, weekends and night duties. There is a potential for the successful applicants to be allocated in a community setting and could be required to cover the ANC area for designated clinics.
