Job Description: Solicitor - Personal Injury Location: Belfast City Centre Department: Personal Injury - Defence and Plaintiff Work Overview MCS Group is delighted to partner with leading Belfast firm, to recruit a talented and driven Personal Injury Solicitor. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a firm renowned for its expertise across both claimant and defendant litigation, including a specialist focus on asbestos-related claims. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload of personal injury matters, gaining exposure to complex and high-value cases while contributing to the firm's longstanding reputation for excellence. Key Responsibilities Case Management: Handle a varied caseload of personal injury matters on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants, including public liability, employers' liability, road traffic accidents, and asbestos-related disease claims. Legal Advice: Provide thorough and strategic legal advice to clients across a range of personal injury issues, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Litigation: Manage files at all stages of litigation, from initial instruction through to resolution, including drafting pleadings, negotiating settlements, and representing clients at court hearings. Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with both private and corporate clients, insurers, and third-party stakeholders, delivering outstanding client service. Compliance and Best Practices: Adhere to internal risk management policies, client-specific protocols, and relevant industry standards. Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across various departments to deliver an integrated and comprehensive service to clients. Essential Skills and Qualifications Qualified Solicitor in Northern Ireland (or equivalent jurisdiction). Experience in personal injury litigation, ideally with both plaintiff and defence work. Strong advocacy, negotiation, and case management skills. Ability to prioritise and handle a busy caseload effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
