Plumbing and Heating Sales Manager

Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 DOE, Negotiable + Generous Bonus
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (44 hours per week)
Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Plumbing and Heating Sales Manager to oversee the daily operations of our client's trade counter in South Yorkshire. This role requires a hands-on approach to providing exceptional customer service, managing stock efficiently, and actively driving new business while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the trade counter runs smoothly, providing excellent customer service and ensuring customers receive the products and advice they need.
2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, expanding the customer base through targeted outreach and relationship-building.
3. Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers, ensuring their ongoing needs are met promptly and professionally.
4. Oversee inventory levels to ensure the trade counter is fully stocked with key plumbing and heating products, minimising shortages and delays.
5. Handle customer inquiries, provide product knowledge, and resolve any issues efficiently to ensure satisfaction.
6. Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth.
7. Implement promotional strategies to attract new customers and encourage repeat business.
Requirements:
1. Strong background in plumbing and heating, trade counters, or merchant sales.
2. Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and building lasting client relationships.
3. Proven experience in driving new business and achieving sales targets.
4. A self-starter who can take initiative and identify opportunities for business growth.
5. Familiarity with plumbing and heating products, with the ability to provide expert advice to customers.
