Due to an exciting period of growth, we are currently seeking to recruit an Engineering Planner and Scheduler to join our Head Office team based in Preston.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the efficient planning and scheduling of both proactive and planned works. You will manage schedules to maximise the productivity of our field-based engineers while maintaining quality standards, adhering to compliance standards (client/contract response times) and maintaining exceptional customer service.

* Competitive salary of £24,000 - £26,000 (dependent on qualifications and experience) plus an on-call bonus (Monday – Friday 40 hrs a week).

As Engineering Planner and Scheduler, your duties will include:
* Manage and maintain our engineering schedule (including contractors) to maximise productivity to achieve business objectives while maintaining quality standards and providing excellent service to our clients.
* Liaise with Sales, Projects, Operations & other related departments regarding project progress and adjusting schedules as necessary to ensure timely project completion.
* Work alongside the Operations Administrator to ensure materials, equipment, logistics, and accommodation are arranged for all projects.
* Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely responses and communication.
* Proactively schedule routine service visits to ensure compliance with client and contract response times whilst adhering to our engineer’s designated service areas.
* Coordinate the resources of our engineers with our dedicated break-fix team to schedule urgent repairs or maintenance call-outs, maximising efficiencies, route planning and property access times.
* Proactively capture data necessary for the future coordination and planning of engineering works.
* Work alongside the Projects Team to act as a point of contact for field-based engineers and assist with administrative tasks.
* Any such duties that may be required.
Required skills and competencies for the role of Engineering Planner and Scheduler include:
* Relevant skills in planning and scheduling, preferably in an engineering or field service environment.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Strong teamwork, problem-solving and prioritisation skills.
* A strong understanding of project risk management and its impact on scheduling.
* Excellent communication skills, able to communicate clearly and effectively across multiple channels and at all levels.
* Strong attention to detail.
