Your Role as a Maintenance Technician:
* Complete daily and ongoing maintenance responsibilities and be able to prioritize quickly.
* Meet with vendors and/or contractors as necessary to discuss maintenance needs.
* Communicate effectively with administration, staff, parents, students, and vendors.
* Handle minor repairs, including plumbing, electrical, drywall, and carpentry.
* Open doors and classrooms, and clean areas throughout the school.
* Understand standards and regulations, and be prepared for scheduled or unplanned inspections.
* Set up tables and chairs in gym or elsewhere for meetings/events; return room to normal.
* Painting, organizing and maintaining storage areas, monthly fire drills, monthly safety walks.
* Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or GED.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance/general repair services.
* Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Professional appearance and demeanor.
