Role: 1:1 SEN Specialist
Location: Milton Keynes, MK3
Job Type: Temporary - Permanent
Salary: £90 - £100 Per day
We are looking for a full-time 1:1 SEN Specialist to start in a SEN School based in Milton Keynes starting in November 2024. This school is dedicated to providing excellent education and support for children and young people aged 2 to 19 with severe and complex learning difficulties and health and care needs.
Job Duties:
* Supporting class Senior LSA’s and Teachers with the preparation of resources to meet the personalised learning intentions of allocated students.
* Providing 1:1 support under the supervision of the class Teacher for the delivery of skills-based learning.
* Working closely with the class Teacher to report on progress using an evidence-based approach.
* Enabling students to learn by understanding their learning goals and targets; enabling them to practice and learn new skills and challenging them to be as independent as possible.
* Being involved in the provision of all aspects of support necessary to ensure the students' wellbeing and ability to function and engage in learning.
* Understanding and fully implementing Safeguarding policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of GCSE qualifications in English and Maths.
Experience:
Prior experience working in a similar role within an educational setting would be ideal but not necessary. This role comes with additional responsibilities compared to that of a Teaching Assistant.
Knowledge and Skills:
* Initiative to take proactive actions.
* Organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently.
* Prioritisation skills to handle multiple responsibilities.
