Job Title: Business Support Manager
Salary: Starting salary £58,310, increasing to £62,129 after 12 months, 10% annual bonus potential, 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), increasing to 27.5 days after 10 years, and a company pension scheme with highly competitive contribution rates.

This is a hybrid working role with a requirement to attend our London Farringdon office (and other locations) a minimum of 2-3 days per week, with flexibility in line with business needs. The successful candidate should live within a reasonable commute to London/Midlands.
Be instrumental in enhancing Royal Mail International (RMI) and Parcelforce customers' global reach across 200 countries. Join a team dedicated to improving our proposition to thousands of consumers and account customers, from SMEs exporting for the first time to major e-commerce and industrial firms with established overseas markets. Our International team is focused on growing our customers’ export business and driving significant profit to the company.
About the Role:
1. Provide day-to-day support to the Managing Director (and their direct reports), acting as the first line filter to both internal and external customers.
2. Support the Managing Director in their day-to-day operational responsibilities and management of key activities including recording progress status of all actions, daily performance conference calls, etc.
3. Ensure the Managing Director is aware of on-going issues, highlighting potential risks or emerging problems early, providing clarity where necessary.
4. Responsible for completion of briefings/actions, cascading information within the team/wider teams as applicable.
5. Arrange and facilitate all internal and external meetings, drafting and collating inputs, creating PowerPoint presentations on behalf of the MD.
6. Prepare all monthly performance review materials for the EB and Group CEO.
7. Manage and deploy special projects on behalf of the Managing Director.
About You:
To truly excel in this role, you’ll possess the necessary skills and experience:
1. Experience of working with senior leadership/executive level teams, able to quickly establish respect with peers and line managers.
2. Ability to lead activities and deliver through a virtual skilled and professional team in a matrix working environment.
3. A thorough understanding of RM operational processes and their financial dynamics or relevant industry experience in mail operations, logistics, or service organizations.
4. Ability to understand and absorb substantial amounts of information and data quickly and accurately.
5. Expert level ability in MS Office applications.
6. Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
7. Ability to effectively support the management of budgets and targets on a wide range of metrics including financial performance indicators.
8. High level of integrity and resilience required.
Qualifications:
Recent graduate, preferably with a Finance/Business Studies background.
