Main duties of the job
1. Monitoring patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations, and weight.
2. Assisting in the delivery of patient care as directed by the Registered Nurse.
3. Ensuring that the patient is the prime focus when making decisions about their care and wellbeing.
4. Assisting patients with compassion when undertaking normal activities of daily living whilst ensuring that privacy, dignity, and human rights are respected.
The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.

Trust: Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust
Location: Torbay Hospital, Totnescommunity hospital, Brixham community hospital, Newton Abbot communityhospital, Teignmouth community hospital, Dawlish community hospital.
Pay Rates: £ £ band 2. £ to £ Band 3 and based on experience
Shift Pattern: Flexible

5. Assessing and monitoring patient conditions and arranging diagnostic tests

9. Recognising limitations and escalating concerns.

What you'll need:
10. A car and valid UK driving license
11. A minimum of 6 months paid experience in a community environment within the last 2 years
12. Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices

22. Minimum of 6 months Acute HCSW UK (Private, NHS or Armed Forces) hospital/hospice experience within the last 2 years
Qualifications

23. All Care support worker roles will be required to provide evidence of completing the Care Certificate or a relevant qualification. Evidence accepted includes:
24. Student Nurse with at least 12 weeks clinical placements.
25. Care Certificate from an NHS Organisation
26. QCF Level 2 Diploma in Healthcare Support Services issued after 2011
27. QCF Level 2 OR above Diploma in Health & Social Care or Clinical Healthcare Support issued after 2011
28. QCF Level 3 OR above Diploma in Healthcare Support or Maternity & Paediatric Support issued after 2011 (For Paediatric & Maternity roles only)
29. Degree /Diploma in Nursing and currently do not have an NMC Registration.
30. Driving License is Essential.
