Land Surveyor\nMidlands\nPermanent\nSalary Dependent on Experience + vehicle and benefits\n\nThe Client\nOur client is one of the leading survey companies in the UK providing full UK coverage in a wide range of services. These include land, measured building, topographical, highway, hydrographic, railway and underground utility tracing.\n\nThe Role\n\n * Conducting land surveys using modern survey methods and devices\n\n * Resolving any unexpected site issues and seeking help from the team and management when required\n\n * Accurately recording surveying information on-site to the agreed specification and scope\n\n * Building and maintaining client relationships and ensuring that we deliver to our client's expectations\n\n * Assisting with detailed field and office surveying assignments\n\n * Checking the quality of information collected on site and ensuring a successful transition to deliverables\n\n * Delivering to company policies, procedures, standards, and best practices\n\n * Carrying out any other duties as required by the business\n\nExperience Required\n\n * Working knowledge and able to demonstrate correct use of Total Station, Laser Scanners and GNSS.\n\n * Experience in taking projects from ‘field to finish’ liaising with clients on requirements/specification and providing professional advice.\n\n * Proficient in the creation of technical survey reports.\n\n * Experience of working with teams of less experienced surveyors, adopting a coaching and mentoring style.\n\n * Effective communication skills.\n\n * Able to work well and contribute as part of a team.\n\n * Ability to use your initiative, problem solve and work to deadlines.\n\n * Good time keeping.\n\n * Flexibility to work away from home for periods and accommodate various shift patterns when required (such as night shift etc).\n\n * A committed attitude and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced industry.\n\n * A full UK driving licence.\n\nBenefits\n\n * Industry specific training – NVQ, CSCS, NRSWA, First Aid and Professional Accreditation support (MRICS and CICES)\n\n * Company vehicle\n\n * Mobile Phone\n\n * Laptop\n\n * 24 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays\n\n * Medi cash health care scheme\n\n * Excellent company pension scheme\n\n * Employee Benefits Scheme\n\n * Paid overtime/travel allowance\n\n * Flexible working arrangements
