Due to continued expansion of the business, we are now looking for a Strategic Account Director to join our dynamic team. This a full time, permanent position. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Business and Commercial Director to implement a sales culture across Project Centre that aligns to our sales process, growth objectives and governance structure. What you will be doing: Maintain accurate records within CRM and assist with the production of reports, in particular data relating cross selling and appropriate sales campaigns. Identify new and emerging growth opportunities; including scoping out the commercial viability of offering, target operating model, route to market and demand. Execute a sales plan covering the full range of Project Centre services discussed and agreed with the Business and Commercial Director. Generate leads to create a sales opportunity pipeline capable of delivering annual sales targets. Create demand for Project Centre’s services by raising the profile with prospects. Follow pricing guidelines set by the Business and Commercial Director and Regional Directors. Maintain a level of knowledge of the political, legislative, environmental, and technological trends in the industry that conveys your credibility to clients. Demonstrate subject matter expertise and thought leadership with clients and prospects. Contribute to bid team activities on the tender submission process and Lead bids as required. Work effectively with clients / prospects to identify and shape opportunities and new solutions that bundle services and increased profit. Engage with and support the marketing team to lead in the development of presentations, marketing collateral and online posts. Work with other sales teams to develop and implement initiatives improving growth across Marston Holdings. Deliver high quality written commercial proposals including tender/bid/proposal responses within agreed deadlines. Meet agreed targets in respect of sales volumes, values and timescales. Quickly develop relationships with Subject Matter Experts across the business to build knowledge. Develop relationships with all Regional Directors and discipline service leads within Project Centre and Marston to develop a sales pipeline. What we are looking for: A depth of industry knowledge, expertise, and commercial awareness within a local and regional government services business. Analytical/problem solving skills requiring high attention to detail. Effective organisation skills, proven ability to plan and organise own workload. Highly effective communicator. Articulate in written communication, compelling and professional when presenting. Strong relationship skills - with clients and colleagues to build trust. Proven experience in strategic business development and growth initiatives, ideally within the highways and transportation sector. Demonstrated success in securing and managing significant engineering /consulting projects, contributing to business expansion. Understanding of the transportation industry's landscape, market trends and regulatory environment. Strategic mindset with the ability to identify and capitalise on growth opportunities. Strong analytical and financial acumen to assess investment decisions and evaluate business performance.
