Within this role, you will rotate across a variety of specialities and sites across both Bristol & Weston. These rotations include:
1. Medicine
2. Trauma and Orthopaedics
3. Critical Care
4. Cardiac and Surgery
5. Older Person Therapy including Front Door
6. Stroke
7. Paediatrics
During your rotation, you'll be building relationships with new teams and adapting to new environments, all that offer unique benefits and incentives such as:
* Supportive, integrated team working
* IST/journal clubs/research opportunities
* Protected and regular Clinical supervision from a Team Lead OT/Clinical Specialist OT
* Service development and QI projects
* Cake rotas
Main duties of the job
* The post holder will contribute to the provision of a comprehensive, integrated and efficient therapeutic service for patients referred for Occupational Therapy (OT).
* Staff will rotate approximately every six months to different clinical sites and areas across the Trust. Each rotation will have clear learning objectives. On some rotations, Band 5 OTs will be required to supervise non-registered staff.
* The post holder will be responsible for a separate and designated caseload.
* The post holder will take an active part in their own development and will seek help and advice accordingly.
* Band 5 staff will work alongside non-registered staff and may delegate some activities.
* The post holder will be supported by a Band 6/7 throughout the rotation.
* The post holder will be required to work shifts including weekends and to participate in the bank holiday rota.

Qualifications and training
Essential
* A Degree in Occupational Therapy
* Current HCPC registration
Knowledge and experience
Essential
* Variety of pre-registration placements including a hospital-based placement
* Other related experience in a care or rehab setting, either before or after qualifying
* Evidence of team working

* Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people that is consistent with their level of understanding, culture, background & preferred method of communication
