TST Fab & Machine is looking for a Jr. Fabrication Estimator who will play a pivotal role in developing cost estimates for fabrication of our customer’s parts. The candidate’s primary responsibility will be to assist in breaking down all material, fabrication steps, and outsourced services required to accurately estimate the cost to fabricate parts for customers. Opportunities for growth and advancement Up to $1000 employee referral bonus 401k with employer match Paid Employee Medical Program Family Medical, Dental & Vision Benefits Paid Holiday's, PTO & Sick Job Responsibilities · Demonstrate our Core Values of S afety, A ccountability, G ood to Great and A ll In · Requirement Analysis: Thoroughly review and analyze project specifications, technical drawings, and other relevant documentation to understand the scope and requirements of each manufacturing project. · Cost Estimation: Utilize the expertise of your co-workers in fabrication and machining processes to develop detailed cost estimates for manufacturing projects, considering factors such as material costs, labor hours, equipment usage, overhead expenses, and profit margins. · Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with each project and incorporate risk mitigation strategies into the cost estimation process. · Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, procurement specialists, and quality assurance personnel, to gather relevant information and ensure alignment throughout the estimation process. · Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with government customers to clarify requirements, address concerns, and negotiate pricing when necessary, maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer satisfaction. · Continuous Improvement: Actively seek opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the accuracy of cost estimation methods, contributing to the overall success and competitiveness of our fabrication and machine shop. JOB Requirements & Qualifications · Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field. · Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications preferred but not required. · Excellent analytical skills with the ability to accurately assess costs, risks, and project complexities. · Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external customers. · Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results on time and within budget. · Proficiency in relevant software tools and applications, such as CAD/CAM software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel preferred but not required. Other Sitting: Approximately 90% of the workday. Walking: Approximately 10% of the workday. Lifting: Occasional lifting of lightweight items (under 15 lbs). Reliable transportation is required.
