Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Clear training to become "Engineering Surveyor".
Must have HNC or above.
Salary: £48k - £52k basic & overtime, £4,250 car allowance / car, 12% pension, 25 day holiday, bonus, world class training, for a "UK Top employer".
The opportunity:
Mechanical Engineers are ace. With an in-depth knowledge of all things mechanical and the ability to fix anything, these are the true heroes of the engineering world.
There comes a time when you may be looking to "come off the tools" and use all that knowledge to move into a slightly different career focus, that of a "surveyor". You'll be testing and inspecting different lifting equipment to ensure everything is working correctly.
We are looking to recruit a mechanical professional with lifting equipment experience to forge a long-term career with a world-leading organization. A company that invests tens of thousands into your development in the first year alone, where you manage your own diary with a view to a long-term career with constant training and further opportunities.
The person:
We are looking for a HNC level educated professional with experience in maintaining and servicing lifting equipment & mobile plant (MEWPs, excavators, lifting tackle, HIABs, powered access, etc.).
Most importantly, we want someone eager to learn new skills and use their mechanical knowledge to develop further expertise in this career-focused role. There will be significant investment in your training, so an understanding of the unique opportunity is essential.
Any inspection knowledge or background, along with LOLER & PUWER certifications, would be advantageous.
The role:
This role will take your hands-on mechanical knowledge and teach you new skills in testing and inspection of pressure systems.
You'll be inspecting lifting equipment across various sectors such as marine, agriculture, manufacturing, power plants, and airports. You will manage your own diary and visit different sites to ensure the equipment's safety.
We don't expect you to hit the ground running; training can last up to 6 months, providing a real chance to develop new skills in a renowned company.
The company:
This position is with a certified UK top employer known for its world-class training and development of staff. There are huge opportunities, and many senior people in the company started in this type of role.
What next?
If this opportunity appeals to you, simply hit apply, and we can discuss it in more detail. We look forward to hearing your story.
