This is an exciting opportunity to join a team dedicated to promoting best practices and fostering a positive safety culture across multiple sites.
The Role
Reporting to the Group Health & Safety Manager, you will take a hands-on role in maintaining safety standards and supporting the operational needs of a dynamic organization. Key responsibilities include:
* Leading site-level Health & Safety Committees and collaborating with employee representatives.
* Developing and implementing health and safety management standards.
* Investigating workplace incidents and ensuring proper documentation to prevent recurrence.
* Conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with legislation and company standards.
* Managing contractor systems, including risk assessments and work permits.
* Delivering training to staff and maintaining an up-to-date training matrix.
* Supporting site management with compliance monitoring and hazard identification.
* Advising on health and safety issues and maintaining necessary records to meet legal requirements.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a proactive Health & Safety professional with excellent communication and organizational skills. You should have:
* A degree in Environmental Health, Science, or Health & Safety, or a NEBOSH Diploma.
* A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of management standards and health and safety practices.
* Strong IT skills and the ability to work with systems such as Word and Excel.
* A valid driving license and willingness to travel between sites.
Experience in transport and distribution health and safety would be an advantage.
