Ocean Healthcare are looking for an experienced female Care Assistant to support a 12-year-old boy at NIGHT in his home in Exeter. He has an ABI (Acquired Brain Injury) and is non-verbal but can communicate to an extent. He has limited mobility and is reliant on others for correct positioning to maintain an effective airway and avoid pressure sores. He requires constant supervision which is the main duty for these night shifts. This lovely, smiley, young boy lives in two locations within Exeter. One week with his mum and the next with his dad. He loves watching TV and playing with his sister. When he's awake you can expect this happy boy to be laughing a lot Suction - Hoisted and Wheelchair - PEG Feeding - Epilepsy Support - Medication - Observation Excellent training and support provide by our fabulous team of trainers and nurses. Shift Details: 21:00-09:00 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday Ideally you'd be available to do 2 or more shifts per week. Once a month there is also requirement for a Wednesday night shift. The ideal candidate would be an experienced carer including personal care and moving and handling. Pay Rates: £13.30 p/hr Mon-Fri Note: Paid Weekly or Monthly For consistency a minimum availability of 2 nights a week would be preferable. Flexibility would be appreciated, but we are willing to consider your personal circumstances if there are days/times you are unable to work. Mileage paid after your first 7 miles to these locations in Exeter up to a maximum of 20 miles each way. Why Join us?
