Accountant | Birmingham | Full Time preferred / Part Time also considered | £28,000 to £35,000 per annum
Our client is a small accountancy practice established in March 2009 based in Ward End in Birmingham. They specialise in small to medium-sized limited companies and professionals requiring tax returns. They provide tax advice and consultancy to guide clients from the start of their business journey.
The team is small, where teamwork is essential to meeting targets and deadlines. The company is investing in software and remote working to meet future demands, ensuring a more streamlined service for clients.

Are you the right person for the job?
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in a small/medium accountancy practice in the UK
* Preferably qualified or part-qualified in ACCA, AAT etc.
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong organisational skills
* Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office Suite
* Experience using accounting software such as Xero and QuickBooks is preferable
What will your role look like?
* Preparation of accounts and tax returns for a variety of limited companies
* Preparing and submitting VAT returns, self-assessments, and confirmation statements
* Dealing with onboarding of new clients and keeping client records and work progress updated
* Building positive client relationships and addressing queries promptly
* Helping clients understand and minimise tax liabilities and ensuring proper record-keeping for compliance.

* Working hours are normally 9.30 to 5.30, but can be flexible according to individual needs
