We’re looking for an Apprentice Procurement Specialist to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to achieve Level 3 Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) while working as an apprentice within a large and ambitious housing association. Making sure we get value for money and complying with procurement regulations are both really important in the housing sector, and the Procurement team support the business to achieve these aims.
Procurement, or purchasing as another term is the process of buying goods, services and Works. Procurement touches all elements of the organisation and have a high impact on the financial health and ability for the organisation to undertake business. You’ll join a small team who are passionate about procurement and doing the right thing.
Reporting into the Procurement Manager, you will play a key role supporting colleagues with their purchasing activities ensuring Abri carry out all aspect of the purchase in line with Group Financial Regulations and procurement legislation.
In this role you’ll work 4 days per week within the procurement team and 1 day a week on day release for training and study. You’ll be provided with off the job training and study time to complete your portfolio work, attend relevant training courses, mentoring, and being shadowed/shadowing others within the organisation.
You'll be an ambassador for Abri to internal and external customers alike so professionalism, politeness and a genuine desire to go above and beyond will all be musts.
We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude and willingness to learn, strong communication and organisational skills and a good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
