Job Description Accounts Assistant Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join a leading provider of bespoke home improvement solutions. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining financial operations, ensuring compliance, and supporting payroll and accounting processes. Key Responsibilities • Managing CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) payments and submissions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. • Processing payroll, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring all employees are paid correctly and on time. • Utilizing SAGE software to manage accounts, invoices, and general bookkeeping tasks. • Reconciling accounts, managing supplier payments, and resolving discrepancies promptly. • Assisting with monthly financial reports and maintaining up-to-date records. • Supporting the Finance Manager with ad-hoc administrative and financial tasks as required. Key Skills and Qualifications • Proven experience in an accounts or bookkeeping role. • Strong proficiency in SAGE accounting software. • Familiarity with CIS regulations and payroll processing. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines. • Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
