Then we may have the role for you We are seeking an experienced and organised Clerical Officer Supervisor to join our dedicated Catering Department within the NHS. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of administrative processes that support our catering services, which provide high-quality meals to patients, staff, and visitors. As a Clerical Supervisor, you will lead a small team of administrative staff and coordinate key clerical activities, including scheduling, data management, and communications, to ensure the department runs efficiently. Main duties of the job o Supervise and support clerical staff within the catering department. o Oversee administrative processes such as meal planning records, dietary requirement documentation, and ordering supplies. o Monitor and maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with NHS policies and procedures. o Handle scheduling and rota management for catering team members. o Provide general administrative support to the Catering Manager and team. o Act as the first point of contact for internal and external inquiries, resolving issues or escalating as necessary. o Conduct regular performance reviews and training for clerical staff. About You The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administration, excellent organisational skills, and experience in a supervisory role. You will be able to work collaboratively with a wide range of staff and have a keen eye for detail to maintain high standards. Essential Skills and Experience: o Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role, ideally within a healthcare or catering environment. o Proven ability to manage and supervise a team. o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. o Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other administrative software. o Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. o Knowledge of NHS policies and procedures is desirable.
