The Role - Technical Degree Apprentice (Space, Defence & Intelligence)
You will study towards a BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions degree via the Cyber Security pathway at Buckinghamshire New University one day per week and spend the other four developing your career here with us. The duration of the course is 3 years.
During the apprenticeship, you'll work in roles related to your degree and therefore you'll need to demonstrate an interest in these areas.
Your future duties and responsibilities
What You'll Be Doing:
1. Empowerment through Innovation: From the very start you will play a key role in the development, testing, and delivery of technical solutions on our exciting SDI Projects.
2. Collaborate and Create: Work with a team of tech experts to solve real-world problems, using your STEM background to drive innovation.
3. Hands-On Impact: You'll be working on cutting-edge technologies such as satellite navigation systems, cybersecurity solutions, and space exploration projects, contributing directly to mission-critical outcomes for government and global organisations.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
1. A minimum of five 4-9 GCSEs (or equivalent grades A*-C on the old grading scale), including English and Maths.
2. To have or be predicted to achieve at least 104 UCAS points across three A-Levels or equivalent BTECs at grade C or above (excluding General Studies) gained in the same academic year or a completed Advanced IT Apprenticeship.
3. Your A-Levels (or equivalent qualifications) should include an IT related subject, unless you can show cyber, software programming or development ability through work experience or extra-curricular activities.
4. Flexibility to travel and work on projects across the UK.
5. Due to the sensitive nature of projects within the SDI sector, candidates must meet security clearance requirements.
