My client, a leading distribution company based in Andover, is looking to recruit a Warehouse Manager for their NIGHTSHIFT on a full-time, permanent basis. The Warehouse Manager will work mainly within Goods In and be responsible for overseeing 10-30 members of the Goods In team and delegating work to these employees.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and supervise current warehouse employees - including holidays, sickness, timekeeping and HR queries.
2. Train new employees and provide continuous training to existing employees.
3. Supervise and contribute towards general good housekeeping within the warehouse and vehicles.
4. Ensure all Health and Safety and security obligations are met.
5. Ability to work with the other warehouse managers to ensure that the warehouse is operating efficiently and to help with any warehouse improvement projects.
6. Support business improvement initiatives.
7. Develop and establish best practice in warehouse management procedures.
8. Planning and monitoring workload into the warehouse and plan staff resource within budget.
9. Responsible for timely receipt of incoming goods to the warehouse.
10. Supervise and undertake quality inspections on deliveries, to keep high delivery time accuracy.
11. Using various carrier portals to update receipt of goods.
12. Creating POD's for all parcels and pallet deliveries that leave the warehouse.
13. Daily interaction with drivers collecting orders and delivering goods, also making sure these loads are loaded securely and in line with health and safety.
14. Manage and order supplies for Retail customers, also obtaining the best possible quotes.
15. Daily monitoring and updating time management software, this is to give accurate staff costing.

Hours of work are 21.30 - 06.00 Sunday to Thursday (5 nights per week). Ideally, candidates will have a proven work history on nights.
A salary of £40,800 per annum is on offer for the successful candidate.
