Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. As a Paralegal, you will play a vital role in supporting our legal professionals, assisting to manage a varied and complex caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and domestic violence cases by conducting research, preparing documents, and ensuring that all administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time. This position requires excellent communication skills and proficiency in various IT applications.
Responsibilities
1. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships by offering a personalised service, understanding their needs, and providing clear communication throughout the legal process.
2. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other members of the legal team, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient and effective client service. The ideal candidate will have firsthand experience supporting partners and/or senior solicitors with their case management.
3. Business Development: Contribute to the growth of the family law practice through business development initiatives, networking, and fostering relationships within the legal community.
4. Legal Research: Stay informed about changes in family law, precedents, and legislation, and apply this knowledge to enhance the quality of legal services provided.
Qualifications
1. Qualifications: It is preferred that the candidate will have an undergraduate degree and/or CILEX training.
2. Proven Expertise: Demonstrated experience in handling a diverse range of family law cases, showcasing a deep understanding of relevant legal principles and procedures.
3. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
4. Client-Centric Approach: A commitment to providing exceptional client service, understanding client needs, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
5. Team Player: Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
6. Business Acumen: Ability and interest in contributing to the business development activities of the firm, including client acquisition and retention.
