This is an excellent opportunity for a psychology graduate to join the Intensive Service of our CAMHS Eating Disorder team. We are a multidisciplinary community specialist CAMHS for children and young people in North Central London with eating disorders. Young people who need more intensive help go into our Eating Disorder Intensive Service (EDIS).
The role is primarily focused on assisting with service evaluation and development, and also offers the opportunity to gain clinical experience with our client group under the supervision of a clinical psychologist. The intensive service is developing the therapeutic input for patients, and the post holder will work closely with the service’s clinical psychologist and family therapist. The post holder will also be part of our overall service psychology team, made up of qualified, trainee and assistant psychologists, and so there is plenty of opportunity to develop knowledge and skills relevant to clinical psychology training.
The ideal candidate will have experience of and be confident in managing and administrating databases using Microsoft Office packages; conducting descriptive and inferential statistics, producing simple reports and communicating this information effectively.
Given the clinical setting of this post, the ideal candidate will also be expected to have good face to face communication skills, a broad understanding of working with children, young people and their families, as well as being able to work effectively as part of a team.
