Our work is essential to enable HS2 trains to travel between London and Birmingham as well as continue their journey up to Manchester. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Buyer within the Procurement team,
This role will be based on site in Water Orton, The project’s most complex network of structures in the West Midlands, this sublot includes the Delta Junction – a triangular section of the high-speed railway made up of nine precast segmental viaducts, embankments, and other bridging structures, with around 10km of track crossing a network of motorways, roads and rivers.
As a Buyer working within the HS2 project sublot, your primary responsibility is to ensure seamless compliance with the procurement process from the initial scope of works to supplier performance evaluation. You will play a critical role in managing the end-to-end procurement cycle, collaborating with stakeholders, and minimizing risks associated with procurement activities.
What you'll need:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field. Experience:
• Previous experience in procurement, preferably within large infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with public procurement regulations and processes.
Skills:
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

About Balfour Beatty VINCI Balfour Beatty VINCI is a long-established joint venture between two powerhouses for the delivery of critical infrastructure across rail, transport and other iconic projects in the UK and beyond. We started working together over 30 years ago to deliver the Channel Tunnel, as members of the TransManche Link consortium. In the Midlands, it is Balfour Beatty VINCI’s role to design and build the route, ready for tracks and signalling to be installed. Our work with HS2 Balfour Beatty VINCI have been awarded a 90km section of the HS2 project from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and then on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.
