Core Business Support Officer
Sandwell Council is seeking a Core Business Support Officer to join our team on a permanent basis. This full-time position, graded at Band D and located at Sandwell Council House, offers an exciting opportunity to support critical functions within the council. The successful candidate will provide business support to the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) team and offer minute-taking support to the Adults Safeguarding team and related operational teams.
Essential Requirements:
* GCSE Grade C in English and Maths or an equivalent qualification.
* OCR/RSA Level II word processing (or equivalent) or demonstrate an equivalent competency.
* Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
* At least two years of experience working in a business support/administrative environment.
* 12 months experience working in a social care and/or health-related role.
The ideal candidate will be able to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure, organise and prioritise work effectively, and have the ability to interpret and make sense of complex information and instructions. Additionally, minute-taking experience/skills are required, along with the aptitude to absorb and classify information with attention to detail.
