Acute medicine has drastically expanded over the past few years with our move into the 2-storey rainbow unit which hosts a specialised level 1 facility, in the 12 months we have also expanded AMU and created an additional 22 patient spaces in a new assessment area.
If you are an experienced band 3 or a band 2 care support worker looking to develop further then this is the role for you. To be eligible for this position you must already have your level 3 or be currently studying. Clinical skills training will be provided.
Please note you will be required to work across all areas of acute medicine and be able to work days/ nights and weekends.
Main duties of the job
As a higher clinical support worker you will be responsible for not only maintaining patients needs including hygiene, toileting and nutrition but also assisting the nursing team and medical team with extended roles.
You will also play a key role in assessing, treating and transferring patients to give them a high standard of care and a good hospital experience.
