Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Advanced Social Worker within the Children with Disabilities Team to work full time based in Redhill.
The salary for this permanent Advanced Social Worker job is up to £47,619 per annum.
Main duties:
* To ensure professional standards in the assessment and provision of services for service users and carers delivering outcomes that are in line with best practice and values of the Department as expressed within the Care Act and ‘Putting People First’, promoting autonomy Independence, choice and wellbeing.
* In conjunction with the Team Manager, ensure that social work processes and accountabilities are in place within a multiagency framework to promote effective decision making and integrated service delivery.
* To make professional decisions, and provide high level advice to team members, involving complex practice and organisational risk, under the line management of the team leader.
* Make pro-active use of supervision to extend effective practice, reflection and career development and to meet the objectives of the Professional Development Reviews.
* To work in collaboration within a multi-disciplinary environment to promote and assist an integrated approach, establishing effective networks. Communicate effectively in highly charged, complex challenging circumstances.
* To manage cases which their complex nature, challenge current resources and professional approach to deliver the optimum outcome for service users and their carers in fresh, imaginative and personalised ways.
* To oversee the allocation and take the lead professional role in safeguarding enquiries/investigations, supporting investigating officers, chair safeguarding meetings and conferences, monitoring safeguarding progress and outcomes, as stipulated within the Borough’s Council’s Multi-Agency policy and procedures.
* To promote and lead engagement with colleagues and a range of organisations to identify, assess, plan for and support needs of service users in order to promote positive change and independence. Work in collaboration with others and use effective communication, reasoning and negotiation skills to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with other staff, service users and their carers.
* To ensure that service user/carer confidentiality is maintained at all times and that data protection is adhered to.
* To maintain accurate up to date records safely and confidently in accordance with the Council’s policies and procedures. Contribute to the evaluation and analysis of recording and the use of information system to inform good practice and to maintain a focus on positive outcomes for service users/carers.
* To deputise for the Team Manager as and when required.
Requirements of this Advanced Social Worker job:
* A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
* Understanding of relevant legislation.
* Continual professional development.
* Social Work England registered.
