About the job you are considering
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will represent the needs of our stakeholders to Agile delivery teams, acting as the primary source of information on the problem domain. You’ll be driving the end-to-end delivery of business requirements across our customer product portfolio, working collaboratively to transform user feedback into insights and product improvements. You’ll play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of savings products and customer journeys, ensuring they deliver maximum value to both our customers and Barclays.
Your role
Key Responsibilities
1. Work with Agile delivery teams to design and prioritise the Product Backlog and plan its delivery.
2. Maintain and prioritise the Product Backlog, collaborating with Business Analysts and Developers to create and refine User Stories based on business value and technical risk.
3. Lead efforts to evaluate, select, and implement appropriate software and system solutions to support delivery.
4. Direct the development of user-driven prototypes to test potential new features and verify improvements.
5. Enable your team to release frequent product improvements that deliver real value to users. Lead process improvements for requirements gathering and documentation.
6. Support business analysis through strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Your skills and experience
Essential Skills and Experience
1. 7+ years of experience in business analysis in digital services and requirements gathering in large-scale or multi-project environments.
2. Proven ability to manage complex relationships with stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment.
3. Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and Agile toolsets (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
4. Strong track record of client-facing consulting engagements or similar roles.
Desirable Skills and Experience
1. Experience with Government Digital Service (GDS) standards and design principles.
2. Knowledge of retail savings products or financial services.
3. Familiarity with technologies and CX platforms such as Drupal, Oracle, Adobe, and Gen AI.
Your security clearance
Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS)
To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.
There are no nationality or residency restrictions, although if you have resided outside of the UK within the last 3 years, further checks may be required.
There are other criteria and checks required for BPSS, and throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.
