Job description: Salary: £26,951.00 per annum Contracted Hours: 38.75 per week Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 07:00-15:15 Job purpose: To carry out general site maintenance duties, improving the general infrastructure and upkeep of the buildings and grounds to a standard that will ensure the site complies with required standards expected of a food manufacturing site. Key responsibilities and accountabilities: Work with other members of the team to help maintain and improve the site Sweeping walkways and other areas to keep them clear and free from any debris From time to time assisting with building and maintenance repairs during factory shutdown or as and when required by Site Services Supervisor Be flexible to respond to immediate Health, Safety and Welfare issues to minimise disruption across the Lifton site Cover the Site Waste Operative as and when required Be prepared to undergo training to support and assist other departments across site Committed to improving standards throughout the site Follow all Safety, Health and Environmental procedures (ISO, SOPs) that relate to this role Carry out and document all equipment pre-use safety checks, reporting any issues identified Ensure correct PPE is used when carrying out duties Skills and experience: Essential: Good communication skills Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision Committed to improving standards through preventative maintenance Flexibility and adaptability FLT licence or willingness to undertake Desirable: Knowledge of safe and effective application techniques for herbicides and pesticides. Experience with the use power tools as well as and blowers for efficient yard maintenance. Knowledgeable in maintaining lawns, plants, and overall yard appearance.
