Seeking a detail-oriented, proactive and experienced client Payroll Specialist to join a dynamic team in the accountancy sector. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering efficient payroll services to a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing expert payroll support.
MUST work in an accountancy practice
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage payroll processing for a range of clients with varying complexity and size.
2. Administer payroll on weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual schedules as required.
3. Process new starters and leavers, including statutory payments, RTI submissions, and pension deductions.
4. Establish and close PAYE schemes with HMRC as needed.
5. Act as the primary point of contact for all PAYE-related queries with HMRC.
6. Calculate and ensure compliance with auto-enrolment pension deductions.
7. Upload pension contributions and enrol new starters on pension portals.
8. Prepare and submit BACS payment files.
9. Submit HMRC RTI information, including FPS and EPS, ensuring timely compliance.
10. Generate essential payroll documents such as P45s, P60s, and Starter Declarations.
11. Liaise directly with clients to validate payroll data, address queries, and resolve payroll issues.
12. Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, directors, and HMRC.
13. Provide day-to-day support for client payroll systems.
14. Collaborate with and support team members as needed.

About You:
1. Educated to A-Level (or equivalent).
2. Strong IT skills with the ability to quickly learn new software.
