Our client is involved in various methods of conversion, including Welfare Vehicles, Crew Carriers, Racking Installations, Bunk Vans, Stock Vans, Lighter Conversions, and much more.
Due to rapid growth and a huge increase in workload, our client is looking to add experienced, enthusiastic vehicle fitters to their workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Candidates will be trained on different stages of the build process and will be responsible for, but not limited to:
2. Internal Fitting - Racking Systems, Flooring, Load Locks, Silicone Fastening, Kitchens, Toilets, Sanitizing Stations, Seating, some wiring, and more.
3. External Fitting - Control Panel Installation, Stairs, Bay lifts.
4. Daily use of Hand & Power tools - Drills, Tape Measure, Screwdrivers, Spanners, Wrenches, and more.
5. Quality Control - Ensuring products are assembled to tight specifications before being delivered to the end customer, so a keen eye for detail is essential.
6. Working to specific measurements and timelines.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Advise of any amendments to drawings/panels.
2. Notify supervisor of potential improvements to build method.
3. Carry out duties in line with Health and Safety requirements and make supervisor aware of potential Health & Safety issues.
4. Log on and off correct SFDC operation in line with company policy.
5. Adhere to relevant ISO / QMS process.
Desired Skills:
1. Experience working to tight measurements and deadlines.
2. Experience working with BOTH Hand and Power tools.
3. Excellent eye for detail.
4. Good understanding of the conversion process or knowledge of vehicles.
