We are seeking a Fire and Security Engineer for a full-time permanent position based in Kendal. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of Fire and Security systems. Our client is a leading Fire & Security company based in Kendal looking to expand their existing team!
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out the installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of Fire and Security systems.
2. Carry out electrical installation, modification, and testing on electrical supplies in a compliant manner working to the current edition of The IET Wiring Regulation for Electrical Installations (BS7671).
3. Completion of safety documentation, prestart checklists, and point of work risk assessments.
4. The accurate completion of in-house compliance documentation, job cards, fire and security paperwork, and electrical test sheets.
5. Ensure that all accidents/incidents and near misses are reported within the Company guidelines.
6. Carry out all work activities safely and in line with RAMS and in line with training.
7. Completion of electrical isolations for all relevant works.
8. You will be reporting to the Fire and Security Manager and working closely with Fire and Security Engineers.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Previous experience working on Fire and Security systems (FIA Industry training preferred but not essential).
2. Level 3 City and Guilds Electrical Technical Certificate.
3. NVQ level 3.
4. City and Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) (preferred but not essential).
5. A current valid JIB/ECS card (preferred but not essential).
Key Information:
1. Normal working hours are 37.5 hrs per week Monday to Friday but there may be the need to work outside these hours throughout the week and occasionally at weekends.
2. You would also form part of the Fire and Security on-call rota.
3. Ideal candidates would live in or around South Cumbria or Lancashire.
