We are seeking a Fire and Security Engineer for a full-time permanent position based in Kendal. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of Fire and Security systems. Our client is a leading Fire & Security company based in Kendal looking to expand their existing team!
Key responsibilities:
* Carry out the installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of Fire and Security systems.
* Carry out electrical installation, modification and testing on electrical supplies in a compliant manner working to the current edition of The IET Wiring Regulation for Electrical Installations (BS7671).
* Completion of safety documentation, prestart check lists and point of work risk assessments.
* The accurate completion of in-house compliance documentation, job cards, fire and security paperwork and electrical test sheets.
* Ensure that all accidents/incidents and near misses are reported within the Company guidelines.
* Carry out all work activities safely and in line RAMS and in line with training.
* Completion of electrical isolations for all relevant works.
* You will be reporting to the Fire and Security Manager and working closely with Fire and Security Engineers.

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
* Previous experience working on Fire and Security systems (FIA Industry training preferred but not essential).
* Level 3 City and Guilds Electrical Technical Certificate.
* NVQ level 3.
* City and Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) (preferred but not essential).
* A current valid JIB/ECS card (preferred but not essential).
Key information:
* Normal working hours are 37.5 hrs per week Monday to Friday but there may be the need to work outside these hours throughout the week and occasionally at weekends.
* You would also form part of the Fire and Security on-call rota.
* Ideal candidates would live in or around South Cumbria or Lancashire.
