Job Description
Carbon60 is working alongside a leading aviation company in the UK for a Check Manager. We are looking for UKCAA B licensed engineers with type ratings on A320, 737 and/or 777, as well as holding C certification. The role will be based at Manchester or Birmingham Airport as soon as possible. The Check Manager will be responsible for the overall management and delivery of the allocated maintenance and oversee maintenance tasks to ensure regulatory compliance.
Job Responsibilities for Check Manager
1. Delivering allocated maintenance inputs, projects, and company initiatives to schedule.
2. Line managing staff, assisting base maintenance management team, and allocating tasks and responsibilities as required.
3. Issuing certificates of release to service for the specific aircraft type within the scope of limitations of their QA044 Staff Authorisation Document.
4. Delivering staff briefings and maintaining progress log against tasks and updating Senior Management as required.
5. Overcoming barriers to ensure maintenance is on time and budget.
6. Ensuring a daily progress report is issued for the aircraft under maintenance.
7. Undertaking husbandry and tool audits ensuring requirements are carried out and recorded.
8. Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness.
Skills and Experience Requirements for Check Manager
1. Category B licensed engineers must hold C certification by aircraft type.
2. Must hold B737 and/or B777 and/or A320 type ratings.
3. Minimum of 5 years working in base maintenance as certifying staff.
4. Good knowledge of Part 145 Aviation Legislation.
5. Effective communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
