Role Summary
This is a permanent part time role and will be required to provide proactive, comprehensive and professional day-to-day HR administrative support services to staff and managers regarding a range of HR related queries across our HR Helpdesk.
Administrators will provide this support via telephone and email resolving queries, updating and maintaining our database and other IT systems used within our service. Managing workload effectively and responding positively to frequent interruptions from telephone calls.
The job holder may be expected to work across a number of functions within the HR Service Centre.
You will be required to act as a point of contact for information and advice on HR policies and procedures within the HR Helpdesk, answering/resolving queries via telephone, letter and/or email. Communicate information to help promote good practice. Ensuring Trust HR policies and procedures are adhered to, supporting management requirements.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the HR Helpdesk of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust based at Newcourt House, Old Rydon Lane, Exeter.
As part of the HR Helpdesk you will be conscientious, responsible and self-motivated to provide first line support by telephone and email undertaking a variety of time critical tasks all designed to ensure that staff and managers are supported with any general HR queries. You will be responsible for providing professional, comprehensive and timely support and guidance to staff, managers and external parties. You may be expected to work across a number of functions within the HR Service Centre.
You will be confident in your communication both on the phone and by email. You will be required to keep various systems up to date and accurate in your work, so attention to detail is essential to ensure compliance and data quality. Ability to multi-task is essential due to the nature of the work.
You will excel in working as part of a team but also be able to work independently to deliver the highest standards of support in line with the HR service offering. An ability to work under your own initiative is therefore also required as is the ability to analyse a situation in order to provide a focused solution.
The role requires you to be pro-active, enthusiastic and willing to learn. It is necessary for you to have the knowledge, training and experience identified in the person specification to undertake this role. In addition to this, you will need experience of working in an environment processing high call volumes and queries via additional avenues.
The role will be based at Newcourt House which has free parking, and there may be an opportunity for some working from home.
Working Pattern: The post is for hours per week which will be worked during the usual office hours of Monday to Friday, between : and :. Please note these hours are subject to change and there may be a requirement to cover alternative hours dependant on service needs.
